Not even "like," it is totaled. Notice it's a Salvage title.

Yeah there's really nothing left of value. The airbags are deployed, figure the salvage yard will gank the stereo and lights.
It's toast.

This is basically "how much will you pay for a bloody driver's seat" because that's about all that's left in one piece.

You've got to be kidding. It's only worth a few salvagable parts. You cannot rebuild it and recoup on a resale - SALVAGE TITLE!

My question:
who is selling this? a car like this would have been totalled by the insurance company. I thought after the car gets totalled it 1) is owned by the insurance company, 2) goes to the insurance company's salvage lot.

I've never thought about what happens after that. I would have guessed that the insurance company sells the car for parts back to the manufacturer (to give a full 360 degrees process) or to a salvage yard.

Is this eBay seller a salvage yard owner? or maybe he/she bought it cheap from the salvage yard and hopes to eBay it for a profit?

Ya, that 30K sticker is a joke—like anybody cares now what it stickered at when it was “New”

Usually it is scavenger that find these salvaged cars and "attempt" to turn them around for profit. This guy is probably independent, I don't think eBay has gon into the business of selling salvaged cars-- yet.
Hmmm....maybe like half.com but for salvaged autos: smashed.com

you can buy your car back from your insurance company after they total it out. i totalled a 88 CRX and insurance gave me $3200 for it. i then bought it off them for $500 and parted it out. maybe that is what this person did, hoping to make a profit of it.

I didn't know that. You learn something new everyday. I guess you can actually make something on the parts if you don't mind storing it for a while.

Reminds me of a Simpsons quote:
Nelson Muntz
That there is our shootin' car. Only two more payments and it's ours.
