Wrecked CL-S.. PICS coming this weekend
Yes, my fellow brethren, this sad title says it all. On Monday morning I wrecked my brand spanking used CL-S on I- 64 in Hampton, VA.
Here is what happened.
I was traveling westbound on I-64 at about 5:00 am doing about 75-80 mph.
I pull even to this 18-wheeler on my right in the center lane and reach to open a bottle of water i was drinking. I looked up and saw him already halfway into my lane and still merging with his indicator on.
I react as i think anyone would and swerve hard to the left into the HOV lane. This caused me too almost slammed into the median blocks. My car then started to swerve left and right so I slammed on the brakes. And that folks was all it took. I spun out of control doing a 180 to the right across 3 lanes of traffic and slammed into the left guardrail on the shoulder. I have extreme left and rear damage from the impact and once repair shop quoted me 2 months to repair. Luckily I found one that can repair it in 1 month’s time.
In the mean time I'm driving 2005 Buick lacrosse.
I mean really. WTF?
I would wish this car on my worst enemy.
It is the Hummer of full-size sedans and it’s a B_U_I_C_K.
Once my car is fixed I think I am going to purchase a G35C.
I just wish they weren’t so abundant in my area.

NEVER slam on the brakes when your car is swerving! In the heat of the situation though, this is hard to remember. Your mind and body are screaming "BRAKE!!!" but you will most definitely spin out.
I learned this lesson a long time ago, when I did a 180 on a two lane NH highway. I was very lucky to not get hurt or damage my car.

Yeah i know...... In my beat up cougar I never would have made this mistake. But i paniced because it was my new baby. Lesson learned and it only cost thosands of dollars.

Be thankful you're alive after that close call, I bet you heart was in your throat after that.
I had a similar run in with a semi on the Baltimore beltway with my '91 CRX Si.
I got cutoff and swerved left, did a 180 and stalled out facing oncoming traffic. It was a miracle all 4 lanes of traffic stopped, and I was sitting there stalled and unable to start the car for a minute. That sucked, but I lived, had a load in my pants and I thanked my guardian angel on that day. Truck drivers suck ass.

no pics eeryone. My GF deleted them by mistake.
I'm going down that way this weekend. i might swing in and see whats they done so far and take pics of my car then.

Man I'm sorry to hear that!
I know what it feels like to wreck a car. When I was 20, I lost the rear end of my Z28 and wrote it off. It blows, but the important part is that (both in yours, and in my case), no one was hurt. Like they say, cars can be replaced!
