Wow, I am now in love the FX45

Wow... I like it

My dad just got one (new company car ) that is black with the orange interior (looks better than it sounds) and also went with the Technology Package.

The first thing I noticed were the 20's which made a Camry parked nearby with 15's look real sad. The FX45 looks good from any angle, but the rear is a little questionable. It is certainly one of the best looking SUV's out there. Interior is also very nice, it looks a little like the G35, but with better materials and a more ergonomic design.

Performance is amazing too. My boss just got a M45 and this feels just like it, just a few ticks slower. It seems to have endless tourqe and a very smooth / surefooted (AWD) ride. The FX45 is faster than a CL-S (Auto) and feels like it can out handle it

Overall it certainly gets my vote for best SUV under $55K, at least until the VW Touareg comes out.

If you are in the market for an SUV look at the FX35/FX45!

I agree...and I also like the fact that Infiniti is coming out with these hot products..maybe this will spurr on Honda to put some pizzas in its product line...and maybe go RWD/V8

The VW is a different type of rig.....more offroad oriented, more luxurious (not nearly as sporty), not to mention its a much bigger vehicle.

The FX is very nice, but you have to get either a black interior or the Brick/black.....because Willow looks like complete shit, looks really cheap in person.

Overall, the FX is one hot ride.

Certainly great looking, but I'd really hate to buy replacement 20"or 21" AS or high perf rubber.

uuuuh, the FASTER and SUV goes, the more I hate it. If you want speed, get a CAR. SUVs are the most DANGEROUS vehicles out there to pedestrians, other vehicles and the enviroment. They are purely machines of sloth and greed.

Personally, I like the looks of the MDX more than the FX. It would be cool if they could squeeze 300hp+ out of the J35A motor. But, there does seem to be a big market demand for the current MDX (and most of those on dealer lots are already prepurchased), so there's no economical justification for Honda to go beyond its 260hp at this time.

In defense of the FX45, .87g skidpad is flatout AWESOME for an SUV. Not to mention the availability of stock dubs.

Peace

EXACTOMUNDO!!!!!

If ya live in the hills or utilize it in terain where it is required to have 4 whl drive...Great!!!

But as a grocery getter for some fat soccer mom??

No Fukkin Way!!! Its turned into a battle on my street as to who has the biggest and baddest SUV. Lets face it they all suck!
BUT! If I lived somewhere where ans SUV was a neccesity..I would go for something like the Infinity of VW Tourage...not some Expedition or other waste of IRON.

just my opnion...(Democrat...sorry)

So slow SUV's are better???

Have you sat in a FX45??? I didn't think so...

Have you driven a FX45??? I didn't think so...

The FX45 is more dangerous to pedestrians? Not according to the article from Gravill, the Audi TT is the most dangerous...

And how is the FX45 more dangerous to other vehicles??? Do you have some crash tests to back that up?

And how is the FX45 worse for the environment??? It has the SAME engine as the Q45 and M45...

And my favorite quote from you :shakehd: : "They are purely machines of sloth and greed." I can assure you the FX45 is no sloth, and how is a a car (FX45) that costs around $50K a "machine of greed"???

While the MDX is a nice SUV, it just looks to much like a Honda Odyssey to me...

I am seriously considering the FX35 or VW Touareg (V6) for my wife's next car. Although I will still look at the MDX.

How ironic is that: Me (a Nissan Maxima owner) biased in favor of the Acura MDX and you (an Acura CL owner) biased in favor of the Infiniti FX. j/k

I wanted to trade my Y2K Quest for an FX45 (or FX35) but my wife now appears to hate almost all SUVs (pretty much) because of the "everyone has one syndrome". (Though new, she thinks the FX will be ubiquitous within a year.) That said, she wants a fugly, 2ft high center-of-gravity Range Rover!!

Well my .02 on the MDX. It drives like a sedan, but hauls more, it's very quick, it's all wheel drive for safety and it gets better mileage than many cars, over 24 mpg on our last road trip. And all for 36K.
