I just saw it on the news... they said he has the most miles, and hes driving around in a white Acura legend taxi... kinda pimp! 500,000 miles, damn I love hondas!!!!

acura made a HUGE mistake with those cars!!

it should've been designed to only last 100k miles, that way, there would be more people in the market for new acuras...but now, acura lost those customers 'cuz they're still driving their legends.

 

And since it's a Taxi, thats all city driving involved. MAJOR abuse to the car. If those were HW miles, the car would last even longer!

 

Yeah that car was in Velocity (a Honda/Acura magazine from Honda) a couple of months ago. I don't think our cars would last half that.

nah, they'd just say, "told you so...now buy another."

i think our cars would last that long if we drove it normally. granted we'd probably have a couple rattles, some semi-major items replaced, but i think it's possible.

there's a difference between reliability and fit and finish.

reliability is based on design; it's designed for long life with normal maintenance.

fit and finish is based on how it's built (which is partly based on "where" it's built too).
