WOW…..Look what the UPS guy just delivered !!!!!

I’m getting ready to take my car over to my buddy’s house.
We’re doing the install tomorrow morning when the car has cooled down with the help of another friend who is “good with tools”.

Talk to Dean at 407-772-0070 and get yours for 999-shipped before the price goes up next month.

I just ordered my replacement set today from Dean, thanks again...

It is such a small world, turns out that Dean use to live nearby and we were at the same college at the same time... It was very nice talking to you!!

I assume they are shipping from CA, so 5 - 7 days??

Oh yea, my old set will be going to mc222 which he should have them next week.

Scalbert,

Yup, they are going out today. I should have the tracking number for you Monday.

Really small world, kind of hard to believe that 2 people know where Kennesaw is, huh!?!?! Nice talking to you as well.

Thanks again. I really appreciate the order.

Just a couple questions:

If everything works out , I should have scalbert's old '01 headers next week!!! Thanks again by the way...My question is ( and maybe there is no point in doing this) could I soak them in something like Oxyclean to try and get some of the residue off??? Is there a point in trying this, and will it cause any damage???

Thanks for the input to whomever can help!

ps - I work for Devereux--they have a center in Kennesaw!

Due to the heat, all stainless will look look a certain way. It only takes a week or two. Below are before and after pics. Cleaning them will not accomplish anything but the performance worth still holds true.

Devereux, where in Kennesaw ( the capital of requiring owning a gun)??

The pics of Shawn's nice new shiny set makes me want to buy them just to use them as bookends or something in my room. They're so cool-looking but you never really get to see anything except the front set under the hood.

Maybe print out the picture of them nice and new and stick it in the glove box for memories.

Just got back from dropping the car off (and a couple of BEERS ).

My car is up on jack stands in my friend’s garage.
I drove over there and we waited for it to cool down a bit.
Jacked up the front and put it up on the stands.
Sprayed some LUBE on the lower bolts that had some rust showing.

He just called and said he already started to loosen some of the lower bolts on the CAT and A-pipe.
I’m going back over there tomorrow morning with another friend to install the new stuff.

A couple more questions if Scalbert is still up:

Did you use any LOK-TITE or such on the bolts?
Should I unplug the battery during the install so the computer “learns” the new modifications?
What did you Torque the bolts to?

Thanks,
Shawn S

Very bright idea... now why didn't someone else think to put that coating on our headers... I guess that would have upped the price though huh...
