Would you pay...

Would you pay $100 for a 7500 mile service which includes the oil change, tire rotation, and a more thorough inspection?

I'm wondering if the dealer will do anything different than this other place I know of that services only Honda/Acura (not a dealer) which they charge only $40 (includes oil change and tire rotation).

What would you guys do?

Oh yeah, I'm on the "severe" maintenance schedule...

Since I'm getting ready for my 7500 mile service (and the search function don't work), I'm curious what others have paid.

That's about what I paid. Kind of expensive for a tire rotation and oil change, but it was too cold outside to do it myself when 7500 rolled around. I also took the opportunity to have some otherwise minor warranty fixes done (sunroof anti-squeak tape; fix squeak in door).

fuk no!!!...do that shit urself....i spent $80 on a craftsman 3.5tom jack w/ jackstands....20 for oil n filter...took me 20 mins to complete....And, i get to keep the tools...for future use....With a jack, u can rotate the tires urself...or even go to a local shop and pay them 50 for lifetime rotation n balance....

As far as thorough inspection...a BUNCH OF BS!!! they just put ur car up on the rack for a couple hours...go take breaks and mingle with other workers...change the oil, which takes em like 1o min since they dont need to jack up....tell u that u have to leave ur car there for 1/2 day....its fukin shiesty....besides, with only 7500k on ur 03, there aint gonna be much to inspect...nor any problems for that matter

Inspect it yourself. Its not that hard. look at the list of things and I guarranty you would do a bettter job at revising the parts. Just keep the bills of the oil and filter that you buy for future warranty issue if any come up.

I paid $100 for my 7500 mile service last month and thought it was worthwhile. Not only did they do the oil change, tire rotation, and inspection, they offered to take my car for a day to try to rid it of some of the squeaks and rattles I have dealt with for the past 11 months. Maybe they're bored...I dunno.

This dealership has been very helpful even though I did not purchase my car from them.

I think we all realize that dealerships can be expensive for what you get, especially if you DIY. It's just a matter of priorities.

Even though I do most basic maintanence myself, I also utilize the dealer's services and have little problems with paying them for their experitse and 'officiality' of service.
