would you consider....

If your local dealer was offering to sell you a brand new CL-S...automatic OR 6 speed...with the Comptech Supercharger and headers INSTALLED for an extra 5000-6000 over the normal cost of the vehilce, AND they agreed to give you a written statement that says they WILL HONOR YOUR FULL WARRANTY for as long as the warranty lasts, would you bite??? basically, you would be looking at a 2003 CL-S auto or 6 speed, WITHOUT navi for about 35,000 pre-tax/title/reg. but youd already have the supercharger, icebox and headers, AND you could have your warranty and you could finance the supercharger through your bank or local dealer....i was trying to tell my dealer yesterday that they should consider doing this and they said it sounded like an interesting idea and a possibility....i told them maybe to make one 6 speed with those add-ons and see if it sells

Would I buy it….NO
Would a dealer actually do this and include an OEM 4yr/50K warranty…..Not likely

If any dealer would, it would probably be Park Avenue Acura since they regularly sell cars with all the current Comptech goodies.
But we haven’t heard anything from them on the BLOWER yet.

the dealer i go to (the only one in the southeastern wisconsin area) seems to be pretty mod freindly...a fellow member (Roell) just had his tranny replaced there with no problems and he has comptech headers, aem intake, aem pullies.....ive had a few minor things done on my car and they havent given me any greif....they have a huge display case of comptech stuff and they are a comptech dealer...they also have a very very very modded NSX that they take to national races. ive got to go back there once a part comes in for my car next week and ill ask them more about this. i think that they could probably empty a few CL-S off their lots if they did this....granted, not many people would want that type of package, but those that do want it would be willing to pay considering the warranty would still be intact.

$5K for the supercharger, ice box, and headers installed and with a written warranty statement sounds damn good to me. You won't be getting those items for that much cheaper anywhere else, unless you go ahead and install them yourself to save some cash, so the deal seems very reasonable.

I'm with dbox on this one.
If I could get it with Navi I would definitely be interested.
The obvious kicker is the warranty situation in your hypothetical.
That basically solves all possible concerns regarding the supercharger.

The fact that you can finance the mods over the life of the loan is just gravy, especially with the low interest rates you can get right now.

You're right. ALthough, Acura USA/CAN can give a hard time to you if you have mods or blower (s/c).

As long as the price of the car w/those mods is = to or cheaper than getting it done elsewhere, why not buy it.

Have the Manager put the warranty in writing.
