I compared the CL-S, 328ci, TRD Solara, and a used Lexus SC400, and I'd definitely make the same choice again. If the 328 (now 330) upped the horses even more to, say 260+, and included all the options for ~36K, I probably would've gotten that instead, but since they didn't, I think I got a great balance of performance and luxury for my dollar.

Most definitely, but I would have waited for the NAVI. This car is THE BEST "BANG FOR THE BUCK" in it's class, and will outperform the CLK which is almost twice the price!

In a hearbeat! I really like the way the car handles and for all of the options you get standard how could you complain? I still think that they should make an underbody spoiler for the car though.

Well M3Sins, it depends. I like variety, so if Acura make big changes on the next generation CLS, I will definitely consider buying it again.

Would you buy an M3 over again?

No way.
About six months after I bought my CLS, my GF bought a TL. The problems we've had with our cars, combined with the awful service we've had from many different dealers has caused us to swear Acura's off FOR LIFE.
There's a reason why this car costs so much less than the competition, and I'm paying for it with every hassle, rattle, and annoyance that I have to put up with with this car

BTW, I love the way the M Coupe looks..

inline 6, RWD, 2 door, manual, hatchback, long hood ... just like my 280Z

Had a 00 Mcoupe- sold it with 9k on the clock, $5k worth of Dinan Mods (car was perfect) for $35,300....the market is "real" soft with the Mcoupe- I actually hated the styling when I first saw it at the NYC auto show (I was like "who the fuck is going to buy that").

I could never drive it everyday, but many people do.

Back to the topic- I would get a CL-S again, there are some annoying issues...but would get one again, especially in a 6spd, the car just works for me.

I would do it again..but would definetly consider the TL-S or the CL-S in the awesome aegean Blue color. Love the black but it is a whore to keep clean.
One thing that would definetly keep me in a CL-S is if they offered a bodykit and a lip spoiler...no questions asked.

By the Way, my best friend just leased a 2001 325ci for $470/mo and twice as much as i put down..3k!!!....
I felt kinda bad when i absolutely smoked him in our first race.
I was gonna let him win the first one so he didnt regret getting that car, spending more $ than i do each month and wasting a down payment...but i let him have it anyway.

Yes and no... I would probably consider something cheap but bigm, like an Impala, Malibu, Sable etc... Before you burn me as a hertic hear me out.
I will not drive this car into town. Any major city. This can be a problem, because if I switch jobs as I just might in the not too distant future, I might need a beater... and have to pay more insurance on two cars. Right now I work in the burbs... but quite frankly, the pay is not what I want and things are starting to annoy me at the office. Intraoffice bull is really heating up. Some guy is getting hit with a sexual harassment suit. Pure crap. This guy is a devout Protestant and a family man... he wouldn't do that. Anyway, I coundn't afford a more expensive car. BUT... Had I bougth a cheaper car, and paid less insurance and saved my money, I possibly could have. I'll have to fire up Excell and run the numbers, just to see what I could have afforded.

I would defintely purchase a CL-S again. When the TL-S came out a couple months after I bought my CL-S, I thought maybe I shoulda waited for the TL-S after all. Until I saw the TL-S, and realized that I really liked the overall style of the CL-S better. Plus, I've never owned a 4-door car and hope I never will!!!

Although I'm on my second CL-S, I'm not sure. After wrecking my intial CL-S, I was seriously considering an IS300 w/ stick + naiv as well as a 330 convertible. The two things I dislike about the CL-S are 1)kinda big and 2) horrible dealerships.
After wrecking my PDG CL-S, I went to the local dealer and the salesman tried to convince me that PDG never existed, only the champagne (or whatever) was the only gold. When I showed him the picture and article from Autoweek on his wall, his reply was that that was a showcar, never in production. Anyway, I'm happy with the CL-S until I have to get it serviced when I feel like I'm servicing a Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc. The predominant reason I was going to get the was the dealership experience -- I felt both cars would be near equals otherwise. I considered waiting for a Euro delivery 330 convert as I *love* converts. But, as many of you know, my parents intervened and replaced my car w/o my knowledge. Kinda bittersweet I guess. Anyway . . . in 3-4 yrs I see an M3 convert.

I cancelled an order for a C320 for the CLS and have had no regrets so I would definitely do it again. In fact the CLS has changed my attitude towards Japanese cars in general.

Um.... NOPE!

Obviously, I didn't buy another CL-S.

Sorry, but driving the CL-S is like drinking flat soda. It will take care of your thirst, but it's just no fun.....

Well as much as I like my CLS (one of the first to own one in April 2000), looking back I shouldn't have bought it. It was an impulse buy since I thought I needed another car. With the money I could've saved I'd be ordering my Viper or my wifes SLK 32 AMG or finishing my home theater right now.

Now if I already owned my dream car and needed another daily driver I wouldn't hesitate getting the CLS.

What the hell are you talking about Jayru? PDG is a nickname for Sundance Gold. Naples gold (the champagne color) has no nickname that I'm aware of.
