Would this even be plausabile?

When driving, I fond myself constantly reaching down every 2 seconds, especially on the highway. Is it possible for a stereo shop to hook up the stereo to increase the volume one notch for every 5 mph or something? I know I can buy a new HU, and I was actually thinking about it, But it costs $$$$$, I am looking for a cheap, effective way to do this. THanks for any help.

Do you mean reaching down to turn the volume control knob on the head unit??? If so why don't you just use the volume controls on the steering wheel?

However the idea of having the volume go up every 5mph or so would be interesting if it could actually be pulled off.

My wife's Alero has the speed controled volume. I actually like it. I wish our system had it.
