The Worst Part About Automatic Cls

The worst part about the automatic CLS is that it doesn't have a hand e-brake!!!

Damn how sweet that would've been. That's the only thing I regret.

The leg e-brake is so unlike the rest of this car ... it's performance luxury right, let us have the e-brakes damn youuuu

the worst part about the automatic CL is the glass transmission. a hand e-brake would have been cool though

I consider it a blessing in disguise, as i'm not tempted to "use" it since it's in the foot position. In the long run, it's a good thing.

could you buy the parts from a 6-speed and convert it into a hand e-brake?

What is wrong with leg e-brake? i think the car interior flows well without the handbrake in between. More over, we have FWD, there is not much we can do with the handbrake except to use it when parked.
Remember this is a luxury coupe, if you want the hand e-brake, you should have go with Honda Accord,

Worst part is that these trannies are the reliability.
My mom's 92 I4 Camry has a handbrake. for me, it doesnt matter. its not like i could go drifting in the camry or something. The foot parking brake works fine for me. I actually kinda like it a little better, less clutter and leaves room for something else like cupholders or something.

amm, exactly because it's FWD it needs a handbrake so you can slide the tail out on some turns.

when i had my 02 TL-S i used to hit the footbrake hahaah

Yeah I always wondered what's up with that. We 6 speeders have the 'nicer' cup holder cover, however.

Before this car, I had a benz that also had a foot brake. I don't see a problem with it, in fact, I don't remember the last time I even touched that thing.

The worst thing about an automatic CL-S:

You don't like the tranny:

1. Name one other manufacturer that would be willing to fix or replace the entire tranny for free if you haven't already racked up a shitload of miles on the original tranny? Can't name one? Then shut the fuck up.

2. You wish you had a six speed? I can understand if you feel jipped if you baught a 2002 CL-S and Acura came out with the six speed the following year but If you were shopping for a used CL-S and opted for an automatic over a six speed and got disappointed it's your own damn fault for not trying out both before you committed, so shut the fuck up.

3. You're whinning about wanting a damn hand break? Go trade your CL-S in on a Kia and shut the fuck up.

4. The worst thing about and automatic CL-S? CL-S owners that are too childish and/or stupid to understand that except for the little pocket rockets (Integra, RSX) Acura does not design their cars with the intention of being applicable to the ADHD Fast and Furious clowns and zit-faced teenagers. Here's a newsflash for you: Acura's targeted audience for the CL-S was OLDER, MORE MATURE PEOPLE, which means they weren't thinking about you if you're under 40.

5. So you hate the CL-S is FWD/isn't sporty enough for you? Go buy yourself a used NSX. This car is nearly two decades old and still no other mass producing manufacturer has put out anything that can even touch the NSX as a total package exotic. The Ford GT is your best bet but can you afford to pay $125,000 for a GT? No? Then shut the fuck up.

Stop whinning and appreciate the car you own or save up and trade it in for something newer and more expensive...or you can shut the fuck up. Have a nice day.

I'll take the single seat heater setting any day. It's not like the seat heaters are even useful more then a couple months outta the year. I'll take the better transmission, more wheel HP, no VSA, and more.

I have to say the worst part of the auto is the cup holder. Cheap dual-doors that break.

For the record, it is a parking break. It is not meant to be used while the car is in motion.

I like how it flipped open by itself. I just hit the button with the bottom of my drink when i dont have a free hand. cant do that with the sliding cover.

Not saying you're one of those, but I see way too many people leaving their cell phones sitting in their cars when they go inside the gym and other places. People need to put their stuff away or understand that they're a sitting target for break ins. Almost daily I park next to someone that leaves their cell phone or GPS sitting in the open just begging to have it stolen.
