Get a heat gun/blow dryer and heat up hte laminant, gently work at peeling it off the surface. Any residue left over, use some goo-b-gone or wd-40 to remove the adhesive.

X2. Any of that citrus based goo cleaning stuff will cleanup the leftovers of the adhesive stuff. Remember, things like the pieces that trim in the shifter console just unsnap - literally - pretty easily actually - you can switch them out for the dark marble or metallic ones.

Nice. Gonna have to do that then. So it looks just like if you would have ordered it without the bowling ball or woodgrain finish?

just be careful not to scratch the plastic and have a big bottle of goo gone ready. sometimes a heat gun/hair dryer will help with the adhesive.
