Wood Trim Kits??

Has anyone bought the wood trim kits that are available four our car? The one that is like 18 or 19 pieces that match the OEM trim that is already in the car. If so, how do you like it and how hard was it to install? The pictures on the web site look pretty cool.

Thanks for the input

i actually just got the kit (the bowling ball/marble stuff). i was afraid it wouldn't be a perfect match, but it does match pretty well (i'd say 95% close to the oem stuff...they probalby used a different brand of bowling ball).

i didn't have a chance to install it yet (got the kit last night) because i just dropped my car off at park ave for headers and cai.

i'm not installing all the peices either. i have the oem gauge trim and the ones for the vents, so when i tried the ones from the kit around the dash, it looked too much. and i'm not putting on the stereo one either, just the ones around the console and the ones for the rear seat cupholders and door pieces.

Has anyone ordered the black trim for the AC vents from autocarparts.com? Is it a perfect match?

i think those ac vents on acp are the oem acura part, so they are pretty much a perfect match.

That's what I thought, but just wanted to be sure. Are those the only parts they sell apart from the complete kit? I'd like the AC vents and the parts that go over the cupholders in the center console.

those vent pieces and the gauge one are the only ones sold separately because they are genuine acura parts.

if you want the one for the cupholders, you gotta get the aftermarket kit or find someone who got the kit but didn't use those pieces and see if they're willing to sell them.

I specifically told them to leave off the passenger vents trim and the eyeglass holder trim. I did not like the looks of them.

You can get the AC trim as both an OEM acura part and a Aftermarket part. The OEM part is just two pieces and it has cutouts for the dials below the AC vents. The one from the whole aftermarket kit is a piece that only surrounds the outter area of the vent. The Cluster pieces is OEM too and doens't come in the kit.
