Wood trim dash
I did a search over this and I still have a few questions for the people that have previous done it. On the stock 2001 acura cl, there are two big strips of "wood" trim running upward on the two sides of the center counsel (where the shifter, cupholder, radio are). I was looking through many website that offer wood trims and my concern is that if i buy a different color wood trim for my dash, how do people get it to match with the current pieces of wood trim.

In the diagragm of that website, piece number 10 does NOT cover the the stock wood trim pieces but pieces number 26 and 27 does cover the stock wood trim on the two doors.
Their website: http://www.dashkitstore.com/gallery.html , shows that all the pieces work together and match. Am I being easly confuse by their false advertising that you would have to replace those two stock woodtrim on the car for it to match?

Yes you are getting confused. All aftermarket trim kits do not offer pieces that go over the exisitng wood trim. Most all match perfectly too. The pieces you are looking at, 26, 27, go over where the trunk button is, not over the wood part. THe kit I bought did not come with those pieces anyway.
Most all the places will send you a sample for matching, but most of the reputable places know exactly what your car has and sell 'factory match'. I added wood trim to my first CLS and real aluminum trim to my current CLS. The wood matched perfectly. I used exoticwooddash.com.
good luck.
