Short Ram intakes are no good, they just suck up the hot air from the engine bay.

AEM makes a Cold Air Intake but The Comptech Intake would probably be the "best" intake. It dynoed +6HP over a AEM CAI

And yes in future, you can always use the "Search" button

Short ram is not that bad. When the car is moving there is enough air coming into the engine bay that it displaces a lot of the hot air. And they're better for throttle response because the pipe is shorter

I like my Comptech. But honestly, get headers first. They are cheap, depending on the brand.

If you're going to buy a short ram, don't get a name brand one. Your paying for a sticker. All it is is a pipe with a cone filter at the end.

they are all the same imo, it's the differances in sound your hearing. I made my own short ram with a "sealed enclosure" around it. Fuc*er it loud and still sucks up all that air in the lower bumper

comptech icebox is provides the most HP, but it doesn't matter...it won't make a difference. I bought a CAI for the sound, not the power. If you want power get headers.

I also like the CT Icebox because of the protective cover.

I live in an area that rains a lot and I value the fact that I don't have to worry about water getting into my intake.

You are not going to get as much sound out of the CT Icebox as you would an AEM or other intake.
