Wiper Replacement..

Anyone replaced their wipers?! My wipers bounce on the down swipe, which pissed the hell outta me. I'm going to try and lube the blade with RainX to see if that helps, but if not I'm going to look into some teflon blades or something. Where would be the best place to pick them up?! Brands?!

I hate the teflon blades, loud like a freaking train,..... I just wasted $25 on them... I had rain-x applied to the windshield and I do not know if this is causing the harsh noise....and yeah I a have the white crap when I use the spraying fuid stuck where the whippers stop.!!

Yea....it's been pissing like a damn Italian RaceHorse up here in the PNW, and I usually drive < 40mph, so RainX only can do so much. I don't want to go to the dealer and feel like a dumb-ass asking for replacement wipers. Just looking for a good replacement at Shuck's or on the Internet. I refuse to use washer fluid on my windseild 'cause you get soap all over the top and down the sides. That really pisses me off somethin' fierce. So no teflon huh?! Hmmmmmmm......

I replaced my wipers with bosche(?) micro something and they died within two months (the orig. blades lasted almost 9 months). I seem to remember someone saying that blades at the dealer were pretty cheap.

Yea.....I may just go ahead and buy some from the dealer. (damn-it)
That teflon shit still makes me curious though, but for 25 bucks......I'd be half-way to wheel-locks.

Rain-X made my wipers squeal like crazy on my old car.
Just clean them off with alcahol, and they work like new! :p

if you have smearing streaks of oily substance where the wipers stop and change direction, there is a bulliten for that, the washer fluid was contaminated and its silicon from the hoses getting on the windshield, have the dealer look at it

Yeah same here. The Bosche micro excel (I think) lasted way less than my original blades. And the drivers side cost about $16!!!!

Also I have had the wiper fluid reservoir drained and the damned munge is STILL a problem. Me thinks Jens way back said something about the rubber manufacturing process being changed in order to make it safer. This might be why the blades seem to be working/lasting much less?
