Windshield wipper blades are useless.... What and Where to get new ones?

My wipper blades are done, they do nothing to keep me see in moderate rain. So, It the time to get a new replacement.

Now,
What to get?
What part umber model do we need for Type-S?
And last but not least from where do I find those?

I've got some ancos that I like. They're standard issue at any autoparts store.

Mine streaked when they were brand new. I would prefer not to get them from Acura. Any suggestions on aftermarkets? Thanks for the info.

Tricos?
Anco?
AC Delco?

Why those companies have very similar names.... To confuse the consumer? They all make wiper blades..... hmmm....

My Acura blades lasted about 9 months, about half of which I used rain-X. I then bought Boche(?), and they lasted a month (really garbage!). I'm now looking also.

I replaced the OEM blades with some Bosch Micro Edge ( or something like that ) about a year ago. Just Dandy.
They were a bit more expensive than the Anco type. Bosch also had a more expensive blade, like a triple edge, but size was unavailable.

Use Rainx, so wipers aren't needed in all but heavy rain.

I'm not sure who carries them. My guess would be a Pep Boys or some auto market shop.

I have the Micro Edge, can't stand them. I even put them on my Xterra with that same bad results. Must be the acid rain in New England.

Bosch are the best I've had on my other cars. Great in the winter. Last a long time. All my friends have them now. Have not replaced on the CLS, yet. Bit pricey. But, they're good for like 4-5 HP at the wheels. :p :p :p

I noticed this as well. They don't seem to last as long in Baltimore compared to when I was at Virginia Tech.

Some of you may be having problems due to an incorrect mixture of wiper fluid put in our cars when they were new.
My wiper blades lasted about three months in two rain storms.
There's a TSB for this, so if your car is affected, the dealer will flush your reservoir and replace the blades free.
Hopefully you won't have the windshield gasket delamination problem that some of us have had.

When I was getting my complimentary car inspection from my Acura dealer, they told me the wipers would need to be changed to pass inspection. I told them that the blades were only a year old and hardly used. They replaced them for free. Check with your dealer.

I really wish Honda / Acura would get out of the different sized driver's / passenger's side wiper thing. I can't count the number of times (having had an Acura of some sort for 5 years now) that I got the wrong goddamn size.

I'm going to get some of those Micro Edge for my CLS when mine wear out.

If you are already using Zaino -- be sure to put it on the windows. It works like super-rainX...

Has anyone tried the P21 Windshield washer additive?
