Windshield water leak?
I hand wash my car at home but had to use the do-it-yourself car wash the other day. When I got in the car, water was dripping from above the mirror onto my shifter! My analysis is that the strong spray from the car wash, got under the rubber lip seal at the top of the windshield. If you notice this lip is easily raised off the top of the windshield. What a stupid design. Have to be careful with forceful water near the windshield seal.
anyone else notice this?

the windshield should be bonded with some type of silicone or other adhesive. this is for safety reasons - integrity of the windshield in a crash. i think the rubber or plastic lip at the top of the windshield is just decoration, but i haven't looked at mine.
its possible that the windsdhield seal is leaking. but it may be more likely that the leak is from the sunroof and its just finding its way down through the point where the mirror attaches to the top of the windshield.
i haven't seen any signs of water leaks at my sunroof. yet.
how old's the car? have you had the sunroof drains cleared? i'm told these should be cleared out w/ compressed air at least annually.

The car is a year old. I never noticed a leak before I used the hi-pressure car wash. Your points are all valid. I usually do not spray too hard around windows or the sunroof.
I thought I would have noticed moisture between the sunroof and the windshield if the sunroof was leaking.
I'll have to watch it closer. It shouldn't be leaking anyway, anywhere.

Right after I had my Windshield replaced (stone chip that grew....) it started leaking from same area, aslo notice some squeking noises from there in cold weather. I have wadded up paper towels stuffed into the empty space between the headliner and top front part of the windshield. No more leaks. And no, it doesnt look since you can't see it.

It's really unusual for the original windshield to leak. Has it ever been replaced? Had one replaced on a car about 10 years ago and it made a screen door look water tight.

Actually Ron, Something I noticed this past weekend on my journey to Dallas in the monsoon we are having, is that our sunroofs actually leak, but there are drains inside that take the water to the outside of the car, so no water actually enters the cabin or headliner. I wonder if by some chance yours was "overflowed" by the stronger than normal rush of water.
I found thisd sunroof leak on the Accords also, I thought it was interesting and may have some relevance top your problem.

I'll watch it. We've had lots of rain and never is the headliner near the mirror stalk wet where it was after that car wash. I've had 5 or 6 Hondas and Acuras with sunroofs and never had a drop before, (except once in my Prelude I went thru an automatic carwash and saw my antenna was up, I had to open the sunroof and push in the antenna, yea, a lot of water 'washed in'!

omg
i have the same problem too. Like two days ago i was working and i went outside to my car when it was raining pretty hard. I got in and saw the area around my shifter all wet. I looked up and saw the mirror dripping. After work I let the car stayed at the Acura dealer over night and ask if they can take a look and they said it was normal. There's some kind of tube that's around the moonroof where the water feeds through it and makes its way out the car. But if the water is rushing too much it leaks. He said that was a feature and i cracked the hell up when he said it. If anyone knows how to fix this problem I'm all ears

Tell that service advisor to write that on your service ticket: normal for acura cars to leak if it's raining hard; it's a "feature." Then call Acura Corporate or Regional office and ask them if that feature is standard or a no-cost option? I bet Acura will help you!!!

The drain tubes from the sunroof are probably clogged with leaves or other debris.
This could explain most, if not all, of the problems posted in this thread.
Two of the hoses are shown in this photo. There are FOUR total.
