windshield washer liquid freezing up?
windshield washer liquid freezing up?
does anyone else have this problem? don't remember this happening last winter. usually i have acura refill the windshield washer tank during the oil change. the first time it happened i thought it was empty. i went and got some rain-x de-icer liquid and as soon as i put it in it started working. i thought the problem was solved, but the next morning - same story. and it's not even that cold aroung here: 10F at the lowest. even after driving for an hour it still doesn't work. i do hear the pump working when i press the button. did anyone have to deal with that?
yeah mine did that the other morning. I guess if there is any moisture on the nozzles, it freezes up and blocks the hole. pour some warm water or alcohol in it and run them, then dry them off, mine just unfroze themselves.
thanks! i'll check out the nozzles. i'll see if i can find a liquid with lower freezing point. this is pretty annoying and dangerous. i have a feeling the dealership added water in the tank on the last refill.

But I agree with warming up the nozzles. The dealer would be a real lame-ass if s/he put water in the wiper system, especially during winter.
