Window Problems Help Please!!!
Hey guys here's my CLS problem: Is going to sound strange but when my CLS is on the sun for a while(about 3 hours or more) and the temp is hot outside I live in PR which is always the windows both od them rolled down but don't roll back up neither one the just make some kind of weird noise (sounds like interference) after I start the car and I've been driving for a while about(20-30 minutes) the windows start working again. This has never happend at night only during the daytime and when the temp is hot outside. This is driving me crazy and I have no idea what this could be Any ideas ? Thanks in advanced

sounds like it is faulty switches.
try using a test light or a wiring diagram to see which wire brings power to the window motor and bypass the switch and connect 12volts positive to the window motor by disassembling the entire door panel on one side of the vehicle.
If you apply 12 vdc + to the motor directly and the window works, then u know your switch is faulty.
If the motor gets stuck or hesitates it is the motor itself, however it could also be that your windows are flying off the tracks when you roll them down and the motor cannot roll them back up because they are stuck. Driving around for 15 - 20 minutes you could help dislodge them or vibrate them back on track (wild ass guess) and put them back on track thereby allowing the motor to once again roll them up.
Either way you look at it, you have to disassemble the door panel and isolate whether the problem is electrical or mechanical. Also i believe that the CL's have window regulators? I am not sure what these regulators do yet because i have not seen them yet but it could be this causing the problem if it is a faulty component.
Miami is pretty damn hot as well..
take care and i hope this helps you out..

Good luck with the problem. Nice to see we got CL enthusiasts over there in P.R.
This is OT but man you have guts to drive a motorcycle in P.R, I've been there many times all over the island (Mom's side is puerto rican) and those highways are pretty wild (not to mention pretty rough in areas). I have seen some people do crazy shit with vehicles there.
