I have to touch up a spot about an inch or two in diameter the right by the rear driver tail light where i got hit during a hit and run. Anyways, the area has been sanded down and all the rust and pits have been removed. Rust inhibiting primer was applied; however, I forgot to wash the area with dawn first. I didn't get around to fixing this area for quite a few months and had washed and put 3 coats of zaino on it in the mean time. Will the zaino have been removed fully from the metal when it was being sanded down with the dremel or could it have been worked in a bit on the remaining bare metal? I just thought I'd ask b/c my buddy said the primer seemed to be taking longer than it should to dry, but that could be the cooler damp weather we had in the toronto area today as well!
