will this wheel/tire sceanario work?

I know this question has been addressed a bunch of times, but I couldnt seem to find the answer in the archives:

Will this tire dimension work? Stick out at all with the offset?

225*40*18

Wheels: 18*8.5

Also, after installing springs (probably comptechs, any rubbing issues?)

The endless indecisive quest for new wheels continues..

I'm looking at the Zennetti Veleo Silver, what do you guys think:

Has anyone heard any bad things about Zennetti's?

here's how it looks on an RX-7:

thanks

You may have a problem with the 8.5" width. One of the wheel shops I went to first thought that 7.5" or 8" was ok. I ended up with the stock rims and wider tires.

Look in the search engine for:

"wheels 18 rubbing"

That should get you going. I think the Zenetti are good wheels (not the lightest).

Ask some questions of some of the other members, that have the 18" wheels.

I don't know if you are looking for enhanced looks, performance, handling, acceleration (any or all).

Stock offset is +55 (so, I have been told)...

synth19, i've asked this question here a bunch of times but i didn't get much out of it. from my information gathering, (to be on the safe side) if your gonna go with an 18" wheel, the BEST tire to keep the overall circumference of the stock tire is a 235/40/18. BUT, going with a 8.5" width is probably going to stand out a 1/4 to 1/2 inch from the wheel well, and you MIGHT get some rubbing with the springs. I think 18x7 or by 7.5 would be perfect with these tires. But I know that's what you don't wanna hear because I'm assuming is the wheel your asking about doesn't come in smaller than 8.5" width. If money doens't matter and you want a chrome wheel that resembles the stock look, these are Neeper Haaz, which comes in 18x7:
Or if you want silver, these are the Niche Bella 2-piece, which comes in the same size:
