Intake has nothing to do with a transmission. The Intakes just sucks up cold air for the engine.

That's funny... I just brought my car into the dealer and he told me that my tranny is not failing again, my intake has changed the shift points and made them harsher.

The problem is, when I floor the car and it is cold, a few times the tach goes all the way up to redline and the car does not move. It's like it is sitting in neutral. I have to let off the gas to make the thing go. This is caused by my CAI????? According to the dealer it is... he couldn't reproduce the problem.

It's not caused by the CAI.. It is either the Tranny, or the tranny electronics in the computer.. YMMV

Give um a shout!

Also try another drive slection in the gate and see if it does the same thing. I drove a jeep one time where "N" was reverse and drive "D" was Neutural. Yeah, I think thats right!

Well, I don't know what to do now. There is no use arguing with the technician. I could take him for a test drive with me but chances are, it won't happen since it seems to only be happening one out of 5 times I accelerate when the car is cold. I guess the only thing I can do is wait for the car to completely break. This is frustrating. I told the service guy I would put in my stock airbox but he said not to. I understand that the shifting may feel a little different with that CAI because of more power, but I have had it since 1000 miles on my car and this is the only time that it is revving up to 7000 rpm and not moving.

The intake doesn't have anything to do with the tranny correct.

But it will increase the amount of stress on the transmission by adding more power. All power adders will do this.
