Will I notice the difference?
I just bought my 01 cl-s last week with 83k on it. The car runs really smooth with no probs but I called acura and they told me that it hasn't been back for the tranny recall as yet. Will I notice a difference in the ride once I get the recall work done? Is it a good idea for me to get it done?
Also, I need to replace both the bulbs in my road/fog lamps and I have to replace the rentire right lamp as it is severely cracked. Can any one give me some advice as to where I can buy these parts at prices that beat dealership prices. I live in Ajax, Ontario just 20 minutes east of Toronto. Thanks for your help!

As far as getting the recall for the tranny done----THIS IS MY OPINION----My trans shifts a lot smoother than before the recall, and yes the recall was done on a REPLACED tranny that I have now. No complaints from me about the recall, but there are many others who seems to have had bad expeirences with their tranny's after the recall was done on theirs.

When you go in for the recall, they may not totally replace the tranny. The will only replace if they find signs of damage between Gear 2-3. Otherwise, they will install an Oil Lubrication kit to help get more tranny fluid in there. I had my (ex) 01 done about 4 months ago with the oil kit, and can tell no change whatsoever in terms of shifting smoothness.
IMO, if the tranny is gonna go, it's gonna go, and there is nothing to really prevent it.

I have 79000 miles on my tranny and i am having a new one put in. Will the warrenty cover me till 10000 on the new one or does it pickup on the 79000. Also if my car was at 99,000 mile and I had say 3rd one put in how long of a warrenty
will Acura give you on the tranny?

My Acura dealership told me that the tranny is actually covered for 160k/7years so look into that. I'll probably just take my car in and get the recall done on it. Do you guys have any advice for me to get a good price on the lamp and bulbs I need. Thanx for the quick feedback!
