Hey, I want to take an 01 CL that did not have a factory nav, put the dash from one that had a nav in it, and mount an lcd for an in car computer. Does anybody know if a dash with the nav cutout will fit in a car that originally did not have the nav? Will the dashes from TL's fit? Also, where could I find a dash?

the dash nav trim pieces will fit from any 01-03 cl.
i would recommend one of the online acura dealerships, check and see which ones cheapest. they also pop up in the BM every once and awhile.
i'm not sure about the TL dash trim fitting.

search around and there are a few threads on the conversion but of course you could ignore the portion about installing the oem nav system.

TL dash will not fit
The CL navi dash will require relocating the AC controls. The navi controls the ac but on non-navi cars you have the center section with the control. Someone did it here but it requires some custom fabrication. They moved the ac controls down to where the cd holder was and molded it all together.

There is a DIY in the FAQ section. I do believe. It might be in the second gen TL DIY section though.

I did this with help from a fellow member. I believe I was giving the TL dash NSXNEXT. I pretty sure of it and can't say for sure until this weekend cause the box is a my home home. But NSXNEXT is correct, you can't just buy a new dash and put in a screen and be done with it. You have to relocate the button. CHeck out my link.

TL and CL bezels have the same part number (77200-S0K-A52ZA) and are interchangeable. The climate control form the navi tl/cl will work w/o the navi screen, though the controls to adjust the fan speed and direction are only available with the screen.

I remember checking out those links but not quite being sure about the dash and where to get it. Looks like I'll have some work to do with the ac controls. I'll probably ditch the factory head unit and put them in there somewhere.

I meant to write that the TL bezel will fit. Interior wise it's the exact same car.
