Will this damage a cam sensor
I was pulling the cam sensors out of the front timming cover and had to give it a twist to free it and seen the the silver head cap twist a little on the way out.
Can these turn freely or should I go get a new sensor.

they come sturdy, not moving like u described yours is... from the ones i've installed at least.
odds are it will work.. but that's not the way it's supposed to be.
if it were my car i'd get a new one definitely. but then again, if i didn't have or want to spend the money for a new one i'd probably put it back in.
i dunno what this part costs tho so.. that also plays a roll in the decision.
but if it's not an exuberant. get another

Advanced
$45 bux or so from Autozone. If its a pain to get out I'd go ahead and replace it, if its easy to install/remove I'd take a shot with the one you have. I hate doing a difficult job 2X.
