Will '03 CL-S factory mufflers fit my '01 CL-S?

Please help me confirm or deny...

1. The '03 CL-S has a slightly different factory muffler tip (larger and more oval?) than the '01 CL-S. True? Your factory pics would be handy!

2. If they are indeed different mufflers or tips as I have surmised, will the '03 CL-S muffler fit my '01 CL-S? According to my dealer, the two years have different part numbers. If the muffler is the same, but the different "finisher" tip could be the reason.

The mufflers ARE different from '01 and '03. That's definitively settled, right?! How about the '03 factory muffler fitting my '01? I say it has gotta fit since both model years use the same motor and have the same output. Am I setting myself up for failure on this swap?!

But then again, there is no real performance increase in aftermarket exhausts.

The 03's are the way to go if you BOLDER tips and OEM appearance.

I sold my 03 mufflers to someone who was looking exactly for that....

Great info, team. My wife is driving the CL-S now and she hates the Comptech. Therefore, the change back to the quieter factory set-up...

Soon to be seen in the "For sale" forum.
