88.75 per injector and you have to modify your fuel rail. if you send them the fuel rail they mod it for free when you buy the injectors. not bad.

What kind of engine sounds were you getting prior to the rebuild?

the engine sounded much quieter after the build. all you could really hear is the exhaust and the rumbling from the charger. the pulley was $150. all i had to do was tell him what size i had on and he knew what i wanted. i ordered from south florida pulley. the only thing is he took a while to make it but the quality it great.

Thanks for the info on the pulley. I wanted to know though, how the engine sounded prior to the rebuild, like what kind of sounds did the piston damage cause, sputtering, ticking, etc?

there was no real damage to anything else except for the piston, rings and rod bearings. the cylinder walls were ok. when the piston had a hole in it the car drove like it was misfiring. very sluggish and sputtering. you could hear the engine misfiring and at idle the engine would noticeably shake.

a good way to know if you have an internal problem is to put a piece of paper up to the exhast pipe outlet and see if it sucks it in, like a vacuum going on and off. if that happens you have some internal damage to either the piston or the valves. when a car idling and you put a piece of paper to the exhaust it should conatantly keep blowing the paper outwards with no vacuum. if you think you have a problem get a compression test

Thanks I dont have any damage, just wanted to know the signs since I've yet to get a tune. A couple more months though and I plan to change that.

[QUOTE=Ravi621;11344751]why you should get a tune at least with a HBP. a hole in the piston. to much fuel.

Wouldn't it be just the opposite? Usually its toO little fuel and lean conditions that hole a piston.

naah. not yet. the car has been in the garage almost all winter. now starting to bring it out. i still have the HBP and never put it on. but i found a turbo kit. some guy here in queens has one of the tubonetics turbo kits for the cl-6 and he is looking to get rid of it so i might jump on it. he has not drove the car in years and no one knows he has it in the garage, his car only has 25,000 miles on it.

i just got an 99 tl lip kit looking for some one to mod it, i hate body work

i never got the pistons put in. i had to go OEM. the company was taking to long to get the pistons to me. i had a big fight with them to get the valve, spring and retainers shipped. when i ordered the pistons they started bullshitting me and i told them forget it. they kept telling me next week it will be there, they never came. so i told them forget it.

basically i had that too for a while, then i lost that too , a probationary license, but yeah never had to do the classes for that though

but i did have to do one recently, what a joke that was lol, one of the videos was from like 90 or 91 (newest car in it was like a 90 or 91 accord, could not quite tell what one it was though), and still on tape

Ravi, I'm running the 6 lb boost pulley, I'd like to meet up with you and compare cars and setups so we can get a better idea if we are both running to the full potential. Hey, you should see my kit in person, you might liek it, lol.
