You should get above/or about 100 (if memory serves me right- been a long time since I hit 120) before shifting to 4th. In 4th the CL becomes a dog until about 110-115 or so before it starts picking up again, a little. Unless you have a 6 speed (even then I don't see how you could be in 5th at 80), I don't think you're doing things right.
3rd gear goes to 110..

How fast were you guys going that you even needed the 5th gear?

Thanks for the reminder. I've been much more responsible since I've hit 30. So the question still remains, why 5th gear? And why 5th gear at 80mph?

Some TL-P owners have noticed a nice difference just changing the mufflers to TYPE-S mufflers.

I have a CL-P and after Installing 03 Type-S exhausts and AEM CAI I have noticed a huge difference in the butt dyno.

The Non CL-P/TL-P Exhausts are very restricted. up to 30% restriction.

LOL what are you saying dude. The CL-P and TL-P get about 25hp from headers, the Type-S gets about 30hp. I would not call 25HP a bad increase.

And up to 80 they should be pretty close even with his actuator fixed. they are pretty even from 0-60 0-80 but after that the type S should take the lead..maybe by about 1 1/2 to 2 lenths. If that.

As a matter of fact there is a CL-P on here with all bolt ons that kills type-s CL/TL's all day long.

Another one who thinks the CL-P and TL-P's are as fast as civics
