Why every TL-S mag review claim that TLS is 6.1-6.4s from 0-60
Not to make a flame war, but there should something behind this, right?
Is it the lighter wheels? some design deafect corrected? some "stealth" tuning?
Has anyone asked why on TL-S board, new TLS owner are getting crappy city mileage, some say 12-15 MPG?!
Is it an indicator that TL-S got more tweaking and tuning just to be the number 1 in sport sedans?

cl-s = 3510 lbs w/o nav
probably the only reasonable explanation is ambient conditions and also that exact same models/engines have "faster" or "slower" cars due to varying factors like tolerance.

No idea why it would be faster 0-60 than the CL, but I can tell you that when on the freeway, going 90MPH+ doens't affect my gas mileage much. The only thing that really affect it is when I am in city limits and subjected to stop and go traffic, then mileage sucketh...

seriously though...the cl-s and tl-s should be considered the same, but nothing is ever exactly the same given different conditions (ie temperature, humidity, driver weight, driver skill, "fast" or "slow" car, etc.).
so on average, these cars have to be considered the same.
if it was possible to hold all external factors constant (which it is not), the only other factor would be if the car was "fast" or "slow". while the cl-s would probably be very very slightly ahead due to it's slightly lighter weight, it would be so miniscule that it wouldn't matter considering averages.
remember, of all the mags out there, they eaach only tested 1 or maybe 2 cars. an average for 0-60mph CAN'T be determined from that for obvious reasons...it's only a handful of cars out of thousands.
