ever since i re-set it the 1st time i changed my oil, the light has not gone on ever since. does the dealer do anything special to re-set it? does it come on only every 7500 miles?

i'm less than 100 miles to 15k and i haven't noticed it light up at all...

 

Mine came on at 15.5k oddly enough. Does the Maint Req'd. light at least blink about a dozen times when you first turn on the car? if so, then you should be fine.

 

They only come one at preset mileage. Look in your manual for the tuneup/checkup milages. 15k, 22.5k,30k....

 

I believe the light is affected according to when it was last reset.
So it will start blinking 6000 miles after you last reset it.
