Why?

My CL-S is black. The only reason I got black was because I couldn't stand the way the side mirrors have that little black rubber part on them, takes away from the whole color continuity of the car. It's the same with the area below the headlights around the fogs - flat black on all colors. WHY? At least on the black it blends in a bit more. Why would they do that? Create an awesome car and overlook something so elementary? Has anyone else ever noticed this and also wondered why?

I've wondered the same thing about the mirrors. Its funny because I don't think the TL's have it. Oh well. BTW. What part of HB are your from? I'm in Fountain Valley.

I actually got the red in part because of the sharp looking contrast of the black and red. I think it adds a sportiness to it. i do remember the first time I test drove a 2000 Mitsu eclipse. They had the off matched gas cap and it wa slike.. Why?!?!.. As I saw it more on the tsreet, I got to accept and now i think it adds a sort of sporty look. The same goes for the black.. at leats it is a mellow black, not all shiny or glossy...
