I want to race my buddies 1999 subaru Impreza RS. I have a 1997 CL 2.2. Would he kill me ? his car has aprox 160 hp and a curbe weight of 2700 pounds. My cl has 3000 pounds and about 150 hp. His is all wheel drive as well.

 

off the line he should beat you easily, but from a roll it might be different, not 100% sure. Just throw out the seats in your CL and it will get better.

how heavy are my stock leather seats ? If i replaced the two front leather seats and slapped and exhaust system on would it be capable of such a task. My power front seats look heavy.

 

i think it would be a close race. With exhuast i should get what, about a 15 horse power gain ? or is that over estimating. Also, i was looking at Eturbos and at 2 psi of boost for 170 dollars is that worth it ? what does that 2 psi of boost represent in horse power gains ? Thanks. Again, im new to the forums and i want my car to become fast but without going over board ( taking out all the seats lol. I want it to sleep. The H22 swap, would that line up with the existing manual transmitoin holes for the shifter ? Thanks
