Who here would have sold their CLS.......

...if the values weren't in the crapper?

I can't say for sure either way but I feel as though I'm stuck with this baby for the long haul whether I like it or not because of my unwillingness to get clobbered on the resale.

To make matters worse, I'm stuck with a car whose tranny could go at any moment.

Bummer.

I'm definitely in for the long hall... especially with all the mods on her... and I just ordered rims/tires/big brake kit... not much left to do except maybe the CT clutch/flywheel... she's a keeper...

I sold my white 6 speed, took months, but I lucked out at the last minute and found a happy local buyer, ( I was gonna trade in to dealer for a lot less!!!

So it's been a week, but I'm not missing it cause I'm getting a better! 6 speed tomorrrow! well, better color, with Navi, half the mileage, w/spoiler, clear bra and 6 months younger. anthracite. wish me luck.

If I didn't get raped for insurance I would never think of selling my car, but once I found out I was going to pay 6k a year for insurance I wanted to sell it.

And that F'ing rattle in the back, I am so annoyed with at.

but right now, I wont sell it, I would be killed with resale value and my financial retardation.

gonna have to sell in about a year when I have about 75K miles on it. It will be extra worthless at 100K.

Various issues aside... the way it can accelerate like a beast.. and manuever... so nimble... and 'communication/control' we feel with the thing at the time - It's one 'passionate' auto.. and I am keeping it just because of the best for the buck fun factor.
When over 100kmiles time comes, tranny replacement will be down in the $2-3k range... For all of the above... and the prices of a new coupe... - it would still be worthwhile.

Ironic.. when I was shopping for mine [April '01]... they couldn't give them away.... i.e. I got $6k off msrp, later they had leases here of $0 driveoff with $429 :o !!

Keeping mine.. most definitely...

regardless of resale value, it's gone shortly after the turbo legacy arrives at dealerships.

Mine is for sale within the next 12 months.
I'm done with it. This is the longest I've ever kept a car.

I think it could use ANOTHER transmission replacement though. It slips a little between 1st and 2nd.

I drove my last car for 9 years. It felt good not to have to make car payments ever month. I'll probably won't keep my CLS as long tho'.

I don't mind the resale bit as much now. When I first realized the resale was in the crapper, it sucked. I bought an Acura because it was surposed to have a great resale value I'll still make out better then I did on my ford when I do goto sell/trade it.

I don't think that there's anything out there that I would trade my CLS 6spd for anyways. Until something comes along that is better then the CLS, I don't think I'll be tempted anyways to make a switch.

I miss my CLS a bit. If they made an AWD coupe I'd certainly be interested. In the meantime I guess it might end up with a TSX. I just wish the TSX had some balls. =\

I don't feel like paying $33k for a G35 AWD Sedan that I don't find very attractive inside or out, just to get 260hp again and more tq.

Maybe the Altima SE-R that comes out in September will be a decent choice and good price, but I doubt I can go all summer without a decent car. =p

I saw a 2k3.5 G35 sedan today at the dealer w/13k miles for 26k...probably could talk the dealer down to 24k-25k...not too bad. Although I have no plans to sell the TLS anytime soon..I am stuck with her!
