Who has the most miles on their new 6-speed?
I have 4400 miles on mine, right now, from a just completed round trip to Miami (from Philly).
A very pleasant discovery was how tractable the car was in 6th gear. At highway speeds above 60 (2000 rpm) you never have to shift gears as it still has respectable power for passing. It's like driving an ATX! On the entire trip it was only necessary to downshift on two occassions for extra acceleration. Fifth didn't do it, as it was necessary to drop to fourth.
Gas mileage was from the mid to high 20s. The cruise was only set at 90 on the return trip because my son's Eclipse (we were travelling together) is only a four banger.
After that trip I feel I can make a definitive statement on the CL seat comfort: mediocre.
The bolsters do seem to intrude at first but after some miles you kind of sink into them. The lumbar (at its more pronounced settings) seems to move with road undulations providing a massaging effect.
However, my butt starts to go numb after about 3 hours. Then you have to stretch and wiggle to keep the circulation going. I found that raising the back of the seat helped a bit.
I believe the primary problem is that the clutch requires sitting closer which keeps the legs slightly bent and knees raised. This puts more weight on the buns instead of spreading it through the thighs. I know this sounds like over-analysis but on a long trip you have plenty of time to think of such things.
My SHO seats were more comfortable with my 99's reigning supreme. You could drive that one all day and not have any soreness whatsoever. Of course, they were both automatics which allowed more flexibility in seat positioning.

I just rolled over 3000. I haven't taken a trip longer than 2 hours. That one was comfortable. Car runs great. I did notice a sqeak from the sun roof (expected). Easy fix I hear. I use 6th gear all the time. If I hit 70 I'm there. Passes fine in that gear.

Is that ok for the car or do you need to go 1-2-3-4-5-6?

I’m always afraid I’m going to do 6th to 2nd by accident which I do believe can be quite BAD for the engine.
