those actually sound good, mid deep tone but they also sound like they might have the drone sound on drive bys.
so do they have the drone sound on drive by, when the car is actually moving ??

magnaflow on my first gen 2.2 sounds awful. Possibly apexi or borla next.

14814 is the slanted-cut version of the 14832; i used to have them and think they look cleaner.

Check out 2CLean's picture thread (i think that's his name), they look pretty gnarly on his NBP

Slight drone at 2k rpms, but sound good at all other rpms. My friend was following me today and said they sounded good driving. Search maganaflow exhaust and find the tread I started. It has pics of the exhaust before they were installed.

I recommend the 14832, I have them. There really isn't much drone while cruising. The sound really mean with I/H and high-flow cat.

cool thinking.
i will try to go that route, tired of waiting for a used greedy evo 2 setup at a decent price, the 14832 run around 140 a piece x 2 .
questions

Do u guys redo the whole pipe all the way to the header flex pipe to get that sound or u just pretty much swap the axle backs. i am asking becos I already have aftermarket mufflers but they drone 2much.

i guess i need the high flow cat to get that sound too maybe just running a straight pipe will solve that ( what happens to the o2 sensor when u run a straight pipe) in place of ur Cat >> cel codes ???

No...not 140, here they are for $103 each and if you look online you can find coupons for them: http://www.hottexhaust.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=14832

I had the shop fabricate the axlebacks for me, so I didn't have to cut the stock exhaust (in case I ever wanted to go back). If you run a straight pipe, you will need to get a special piece that will pull the o2 from the stream of exhaust gases, so you don't get a CEL.

i went with 14851. They are the race series. 2.5 straight thru. I went with tho because Im boosted. But they sound gr8. They do drone around 2Krpms. I hear no drone in the front seat cause I have a 22" 2.5" str8 thru resonator but the back seat drone is crazy. hottexhaust.com FTW

I'm running the 14832. Was actually one of my last mods as I was worried about the sound with the suppercharer and what not, plus I was happy having the almost stock sound while driving around in town. Anyways, I picked my up on E-bay. Seller had make an offer for new in box factor sealed. I offered $65 a piece shipped and seller came back with $75. Check E-bay, I believe he is always listing them. I absolutely love both the sound and the look and for $150 shipped I feel I got a great deal.

^What's the guy's username on eBay. There's a couple on eBay selling the 14832 and they all have the best offer option too.
