My father

Prob the cav, its newer(only matters if engine /tans isn't beat to shit) and the cav probably ways less. Race him tho even at no bet, he will probably get you from the line but you might be able to catch him and pass him

OHhh,, I was anticipating something MUCH more juicer, when i read the topic. What happened here ??
NO, more FUN stories of red light/highway encounters with worth while contenders ??
I guess all we can get now are stock cavaliers
Hope is NOT Lost.
not even. the stock cavaliers will best our cars anyway.
Secondly, if your 97 3.0 CL is stock then there is no way in hell you're beating a more experienced driver, such as myself, in an 02' 260HP CL-S. You can hang that wet dream up.
Now, as for the Cavalier:
A new 2.2-liter, DOHC, 16-valve, "Ecotec" four-cylinder engine appeared in the Cavalier for the first time during the 2002 model year. While base Cavaliers continued with the ancient OHV 2.2-liter four and the Z24 still had the 2.4-liter unit, the 140-hp Ecotec was a clear improvement over any previous Cavalier power plant in terms of overall drivability and refinement. The 2.4-liter engine was dropped in 2003.
A guy with an 05 Cavalier may have a shot at beating a 2.2 CL with an inexperienced driver but not a 3.0 CL. The notion isn't even worth entertaining.

Not that I'm telling you what to post and what not to post but, firstly, if you knew you could beat an 05' Cavalier why did you post a thread asking for opinions on the matter?
