whirring noise with CT tranny cooler at high RPM
hey fellas... i got my tranny cooler installed today... wow it's a worthy upgrade. the shifts are noticeably smoother, and when i go WOT or high rpm in park or neutral, i hear a loud WHIRRING noise like a liquid or gas is getting sucked through a pipe at high speed. it kinda sounds like im getting a spray of nos.. but not really. i figured it was my tranny cooler moving around the oil quicker as the speed of the oil being circulated is directly related to the rpm of the engine... does that make sense?

You have air in your torque converter. (thats the sound your hearing) Should work itself out eventually. Make sure your fluid level is OK. As the air works itself out your fluid level might go down a bit.
Remember to only check the fluid while the car is running and totally warmed up.

is it full? I don't know how much leaked out when it was installed, or how much the lines/cooler take up. Only way to know is checking the fluid level /w the car running and warmed up.
If it's low, add some fluid. Drive it around then check it again.

Please correct me if I'm wrong because that's how I understand the Hondas/Acuras to be.

im pretty sure im not low on fluid... when i installed the cooler i drained the oil and i added in a gallon of redline ATF. i checked the oil 2x today and the oil showed up beyond the 2 dots both times, not sure if there's too much in there or im getting an inaccurate reading. the lines aren't crossed... i'll bring it into the shop again and hopefully we'll find where the noise is coming from
is it possible its coming from the icebox?
