Where do you get the 3.5L upgrade from?
Where do you get the 3.5L upgrade for the type S? How much it does it cost to buy and how much does it cost to get installed? How much HP and torque does the vehicle have after the upgrade?
I hope I'm not asking too many questions, but if you have answers for any of them then please respond.
Thanks,
Dan

Are they the only ones that have information on it, or do other Acura dealers have information?
I live in Oregon so contacting a Florida dealer doesn't seem like it is worth the time...

I think contacting the dealer is the best thing you can do. Maybe they'll point you in another direction (closer to home) or at least give you the info on what they do.

The increase comes from the additional stroke of the MDX crankshaft (86.0mm vs. 93.0mm). The swap can be completed for about $1400 if you have mechanical experience, and feel comfortable building the engine yourself. You'll need the following parts:
crankshaft...13310-PGK-A00....$466.90
connecting rods....13210-PGK-A00....$93.62 x 6
thrust washer....13331-P8A-A01....$10.83
timing belt drive....13621-P8A_A01....$56.93
You have a choice on pistons. The MDX pistons will yield a 10.0:1 compression ratio. If you want higher compression, you can buy them from Venolia, Ross, J&E for around $450-$500.
MDX piston set (includes rings)....13010-PGK-A01....$30.72 x 6
You'll also need engine gaskets, sealant, oil, filter, and coolant. Expect to pay $1500-$1700 for labor.
If you plan to use MDX pistons (10.0:1), you can install the MDX short block for a lot less money.
short block....10002-PGK-A00....$1218.00
The labor to swap the short block will be $1000-$1200.

I know that syncivic (3.5L master) needs the addition of the V-AFC and other goodies to compensate. I may have misunderstood, but that is what he told me...
Perhaps SSMAN knows how much "margin" is built into the system. Remember, we don't have a system that uses air mass measurements -- the PGM-F1 needs to "infer" the correct fuel-air ratios...

Nashua_Night_Hawk and EricL - Thanks for the kind words
The TL-S, CL-S, and MDX all use the same cylinder block. The cylinder head castings are the same for TL-P, TL-S, CL-P, CL-S, and MDX. This makes the short block swap very simple

I haven't performed the swap on my car, but I have done a few for local enthusiasts. I'm also doing other installations (CAI's, springs, sways, headers....) at my home on weekends/evenings

For 2500 kit and 1000-1500 installation....cheaper then SC for 4500 kit + install . I would get the 3.5 upgrade. The problem is that is isn't CARB legal for you and I. I'm currentlly tempted to get it. "typeR" from this board ran quater mile on stock tires: 13.794 @ 101.54 That's impressive.
I think it's worth it. gains were 300-315 HP and 250-260 lb-ft
