Just wanted to clear up one piece of mis-information always floating around in regards to our HID lights and BMW/Audi HID lights. All of our cars use the same 4300K bulbs. THe only difference is that BMW/Audi use projector lenses. These lenses distort the wavelenghts to make the bulbs appear more blue and brighter. They are brighter up close, but the light does not travel as far. Our headlights appear more white (natural) and while not as intense up close, the beams travel further. Drive a BMW with HID's and you will know what I mean.
I am not saying either method is better, but neither car has a superior set of bulbs, etc... Just different methods to display light. The 6000k bulbs are indeed different and produce a differnet color of light. I was thinking of upgrading, but I can't see the price justification right now.
The old TL and Mercedes S class have refractor headlights which is the third method.

So when you changed your bulbs do you open up the housing? If one is changing the bulbs would that be a good time to clear thier lights and possibly paint their housing, or is it just plug and play from the back of the housing, no opening?

Maybe you can use the 4100 on your fogs with the special kit of course.

That might not be a bad idea. I wonder if they sell just the ballasts.

Someone already did it, he was at PAA meet, I just never got around to speak to him. It can definetly be done, since you have the 4100k just lying around. Keep us posted.

Some people have said that the light output is less, but to me they "appear" to be brighter than stock. This may be a result of the 6000k color temp. I think the light output is (technically) a little less, but they seem brighter to me & everyone else I have shown them to.
