Whenever I open my driver's side door...

Every time I open up the driver's side door my road lamps turn on and the annoying blinking "your lights are on" noise begins... is it supposed to do that? most cars I've driven don't have that little tidbit, I was about to drive it back to the dealership to get it looked at... should I?

Time out. Are you sure that it is the lights on noise? The memory seat also makes this noise as the seat reaches its destination. Make sure that this is not the noise that you are hearing.

BTW, everytime I open the driver door, I get a chubby!

I know the noise the seat makes... it's not that. I mean it's not just the noise either, the lights literally turn on in the front and back. I'm goin to go get it checked out tomorrow.

Could be your alarm flipping out. Do you have an after market alarm?

I think its perfectly healthy, perfectly normal. First thing to check out is if your headlight is switched on. The cool thing about the CL is when the headlights or running lights are on they stay on for a couple of seconds after the last door is closed. And better yet when the door is opened the lights turn back on and the chimes go off. If the light is switched completely off you should have it looked into.
