well if you have the $$, I wouldnt buy this car unless you really love it, which in your case seems to be true. Dont get me wrong I love my car.

My mom is actually offering to give me what I owe on it right now, and I turned her down. Imagine a clean slate walkaway from this car is prob everyones dream on here with the tranny probs n such. Not me. I want to keep it, but if I had the money you do, I wouldnt be looking at another CL or even buy one in the first place.

I think I may of found a new project car... BMW 850CSi V12 6speed. I just saw one tonight and WOW! I forgot all about those, although it's really hard to find, and if you do it's most likely high miles or in bad condition.

Borrowed some pics from e31.net, I really like this car!!

The one I saw tonight was a dark green, with a bodykit, aftermarket exhaust, custom twin turbo kit, 6 speed, custom embroidered interior with seats saying "V12" on the headrest, xenon conversion, etc. This guy put some serious money in to the car, you could tell.

The following amount of 8-series cars has been manufactured from May 1989 until May 1999:

830i (18)
840Ci (7803)
850i (20072)
850Ci (1218) -300/326HP-
850CSi (1510 -225 in USA) -380HP-
850s (22800)
Total 8-series (30621)
Alpina B12 5.0 (97) -350HP-
Alpina B12 5.7 -416HP- (57)

So I'm on a mission now to find a 850Ci/CSi, or Alpina B12 5.7

Same S70 motor as used in the McLaren F1 is present in the 850CSi! Nice!! Haha.. just call me the post whore for tonight, but hell this is exciting to research, esp if I can find one.

P.S. - "The guys at McLaren say they could get 1000 hp at 9500 or 10000 rpm from the engine."

After almost 3 weeks I should be getting my Acura back tomorrow. I'm really kind of aggravated, I ended up having to drive the Mercedes a couple days before receiving a rental car, there was some salt on the underside of it and in the wheel wells, but I made sure to spray off the underbody really well. It has never seen snow, rain, or any elements period since I purchased it. Other than an occasional cruise on a nice summer day, it's been garaged. I promised that after this I'll never have it out on anything but a nice, dry summer day. Anyways, I was going to ask, who in the Chicago area is up for a little meet, maybe next week sometime? I'm hoping to order a new supercharger and everything within the next month, since I lost everything on the other parts.

P.S. - HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
