when it rains it pours
I have 2001 cls with 70,000 miles. Took my car into local acura dealership for oilleak, turned out to be my rear main seal, which cost me 800 bucks. Week later I had to have my brakes done, which is third time since I owned the car. Just three weeks later my transmission started acting up, told the dealership, he said they could do nothing untill check engine light comes on. Well that finally happend, they took car into shop and replaced trans, now they are telling me the engine mounts need to be replaced. I know the rear main seal is a random thing, and my car has good amount of miles on it, so the brakes need to be serviced, and of course the wonderful transmission is a given, but what gives. So my question is, how can you tell the engine mounts are bad, I cant tell, the service rep said I should take it easy on car until repaired!

I don’t really feel any noticeable vibration, I had my car on lift other day and looked at mounts, and nothing looked out of ordinary to me. I think im going to take it to local mechanic for 2nd opinion. I was thinking of buying mounts myself and let buddy do it for me.
