When to change oil again???
I got my first oil change at 3000 miles. I know that the service schedule says 3750, but I did it anyway. Now I am approaching 5000, and I am wondering if I should get it changed at 6000 or wait for the 7500 mile service.
How often do you change oil, and/or get service?
Thanks, Matt

Your best bet is change the oil and filter every 3-4000 miles in my experience cars maintained in this fashion last the longest.Jens

I take it to the Acura dealership every 3K miles like my Acura Customer Service maintainance book tells me too.
I have already paid for the service, (or I am b/c it is included in my loan), so I either use it or lose it. So when my maintainance book tells me it is time to do something, I go and get it done, and then walk out without having to pay another dime.
Since I get my oil changed every 3K miles, I haven't changed to any synthetic oils, like Mobil 1 (which everyone seems to use).

I have Mobil 1 synthetic 5-30w in my engine
since 3750m..and I still go with it on my
7500mile oil change..and Mobil oil filter,too
To be honest,I don't feel any difference
from stock Honda oil,but I'll keep using
it,cause the reputation from you guys..^_^

Has anyone used the Purolator PureOne oil filter with Mobil 1 oil? I bought one at Pepboys for $ 5.99 and it seems better made than the Mobil 1 oil filter. Waiting for 3750 miles to do the first oil change. Acura suggests at least 5000 miles before first oil change. Silver CLS on LI.

Well, if you don't want to follow the manufacturer's recommendation of every 7500 miles then I would recommend you change your oil and filter every 100 miles. Just to be safe.
