Anybody have a problem with the front drivers side wheel bearing. I am hearing a bearing noise in front with the windows up in third and fourth. It's not tire noise, I had it off the ground running it and it is either from the wheel bearing or the transmission. The car has 52,000 miles on it. A little pre-mature for a wheel bearing. Could it be the cv joint? Most likely the transmission though. Hate to take it in for them to charge me for something I can fix. I can't fix the transmission. But can do almost anything else myself.

 

I have the same mileage and a similar sound. It sounds like a bearing ! Any ideas ?
