wheel alignment

How offten should I do it? The last time it was done 1 year ago, but now I put new tires.... The car rides perfectly straight on the highway, seems like a waste to get it done?
Another question, how offten do you guy re-balance your tires?

I wouldn't do anything if the car is tracking correctly. I rotate front to back every 10K or so. Have your tires balanced if you feel vibration in the wheel. My

I only did it when I had suspension work done. Take it to one of those places that gives a lifetime warranty on alignment. That's my plan for the next time I have to get it done.

Don't fix it, if it isn't broke. If you want, just have someone check you alignment and see if you need it done. The dealer checked mine and said it was ok at 30k.

when i buy new tires, i'm definitely doing the alignment. to me, it's not worth spending $700 on 19" tires and shredding them...another $60 on alignment would not hurt.

your fired. that comment shouldn't be used with alignments. you could have 3 degrees of negative camber on one wheel and 5 degrees of caster on the same wheel. but you will never know cause the car and still go straight and the wheel can be straight.

get an alignment check. usually free to do.... some charge like 30 bucks. its worth it to know.

hmn, never heard about "alignment check", they either offer to do it or not.
I agree that frequent alignement is a good thing, but on the other hand you could hit a pot hole and your alignment will be off... I am doing each 1-2 years... or if I see a problem.
