What's your GTECH to 60 times with temp?

Finally got the GTECH unit *and* got a 6.2 and 6.1 (one way/then other way) to 60 with VSA on (Temp out was 85 degrees F -- LA was hot today).

No headers (yet), Toyo 235/45ZR-97W T1S proxies, no CAI (yet).

Some folks have noticed that car seems to get quicker after multiple runs -- yes, no?

Can I get some 0-60 GTECH times that you guys have done with/without mods?

What weight have some of you been using?

Didn't have a chance to try 1-2 @ rev limit or VSA off...

Thanks again...

OK, how about just stock times and times after the goodies were added?

Best run with the Gtech was 5.6 .. i got alot of 5.8's though .. the first run always the slowest .. i dont know ... i think our car need to be heated to get the best performance from it. i have 730 potenza tires on.

I have never taken my CL-S to the track yet, but I remember a time when I took my GS-R to the track, and ran 26 runs..By the end of the night my car ran significantly faster then my first runs. At first best I could do was 14.7, and I finally got it down to 14.4. I remember hearing something that even though its best for a car to be driven when its colder..VTEC works better when its hot. So its either the VTEC was working better or the ECU programed itself for aggressive situations.

Sounds like the car makes more power after a few runs. I don't think its the temp (although I haven't run the GTECH on a cool evening yet). However, the the outside temp stayed the same, 85 degrees, but runs got better. I saw Mike's dyno, where he said there were a few "runs", and each time it got better.

Do know that the but-o-meter (pre-GTECH) always indicated much more speed in the cold. I had some "quick" drives night @ 50 degrees *and* some slow feeling ones during the end of summer with 100 degrees.

Thanks, all...

P.S. -- Does anyone know what keywords to look under in the old forum to find some of the VSA (on/off) 0-60 times

BeatYaAll -- you are running FAAAsTTTTT....

Was your 5.6 with the CAI???????

Hmmmm, you seem to be the explorer/pioneer/"early adopter" here, do you have a record of times to 60 (1/4 etc) with addition of your goodies?

Is it possible that warm/sticky tires = better times? I think VTEC works better cold. Has anybody tried a burnout or 2, then a cool run? If so what were GTECH times?

Hey guys ... i tried again with the Gtech pro before two nights at 2 AM and the weather was freezing cold about 23F... I got 5.41 Sec on the Gtech PRO... i just installed my AEM today .. but its snowing around here so i cant make any runs now ... i have to wait till the streets get cleaned and dry. i bet i will get better than 5.4 with the AEM intake.

I know the stock tires sure spin a bunch. The car hooking-up does help. I think some of the compounds in some of the tires like the heat for better traction. With cold air to breath outside, and no ice, I would expect that most of the folks running ultra-performance tires would get better and better runs by warming up the tires with multiple runs.
