whats your gas mileage (2001-2003 cl-s)??

I think last time I checked I was getting about 18 mpg. That seems really low. All of my driving is city though, but that is still crappy gas mileage. Thats about the same as I used to get with a 5 liter v8 mustang. I hardly ever really get on the gas either, I would say 95% of the time I drive I take it pretty easy. I probably go WOT only a few times per tank of gas (and only for a few seconds). Is this normal gas mileage for a CL-S? I just got it a couple months ago.

could everyone post what kind of gas mileage they are getting, and what kind of driving they do (city, highway, floor it at every light, etc).

I would appreciate it..this is bugging me.

It's normal...I get about 16-18 mpg...mostly city driving. I drive semi-aggresive but not always. About half the tank is aggressive driving and the other half is cruising. I usually get about 250 miles per tank. The window sticker when you buy the car says 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway...it also says underneathe it that this is an average and it varies on driving conditions...OTHER THAN THAT YOUR CAR IS PERFECTLY NORMAL.

I've been getting anywhere from 25-28 lately. Mostly 25 or 26. Almost all of this is highway...congested highway. Aaaahhh, the benefits of headers and a CAI.

Usually right around 27mpg. That's mostly highway.

When I drive like an asshole it will sometimes drop down to 24-25 though.

Between 25 and 28 miles per gallon. 75% Highway 25% back road with Climate Control on during the hot months. Average speed on highway is 75 miles per hour (where I can). Getting to 75 miles per hour, that's where we all have fun. Most of the time I keep the tach under 4K but on occasion (at least once a day) I have to hear the VTEC kick in.

I do a lot of "city" driving. My work is less than 5 miles from home....and I go to the gym from work which is another 5 miles away...., so I only drive abour 25 miles a day.....I get about 225-275 miles per tank.

I probably get about 17-19 mpg in the Phoenix summer heat. This is all city driving, occasional WOT (couple times per tank) and the A/C is always blasting on high.

Last year, when I first bought my car, in the same kind of summer heat, I got about 20 mpg....perhaps something in the gas has changed or it's just much hotter outside.

But I can get about 27-28 hwy driving (what I got when I drove to San Diego and some local one-day trips around AZ).

gsrblack - glad to hear that. I am in phoenix too...forgot to mention I have the a/c on 65 all the time, and its all stop and go city driving.

how long was your drive to san diego from phoenix? is it a nice drive, any good roads/scenery?

Worst I got was ~16mpg in the middle of a snowstorm in VA while doing a 3 mile commute. Best is in the middle of BFE midwest USA 30 mpg with CC on. Typical is 22mpg.

I have always gotten 17 in the city and 30 on the highway.

MPGN04 and GSRBlack.......does the AC run on high almost the entire time during the summer? On at 72, my AC runs at high the entire time (in full automatic mode).

on full auto, its running full blast a lot of the time. most of my driving is in 15 minute trips or less, and it takes about that long for temperature in the car to get cool enough for the ac to stop working so hard. thats gotta be tough on the gas mileage I am sure...

Worst = 25.91mpg
Average = 28.88mpg
Best = 32.79mpg

*using only 200+ miles/tank refills, 80% highway/20% city, rarely use A/C

Same here. I have it in vtec whenever I get an open spot. The best I've gotten is about 26 on a 3 1/2 drive to Indiana. I've only got 3k miles though.
