Whats wrong?

I drove my car to school this morning, drove it to the mall and home just 2 hours ago, and now when i just went down to go to the gym it's stuck in park. whats the deal? i mean, im stomping on the break, the engine is running, no error light is on, it just cant get out of park. any ideas? its a new tranny, just installed less than 5k ago.

btw, nothing has seemed abnormal today while driving, no signs like what happened when my other tranny shat out.

sometimes i feel my golf cart's transmission is better than honda's.

ok, its apparently a safety thing so that when my brake lights burn out i cant drive away. good to know. so once i get someone else here i'll see if they really are burnt out and then devise a way to get them not burnt out.

so this brings be to another question.

what size bulbs are used in our brake lights?

take out the bulb, it says it on it. on my TL, they are 7440.

if it isn't the bulb, check your acc relay fuse. mine blew, and I could not get the car in park or turn on the radio.

Could be the brake light switch. I lost mine last summer, and I lost one in my '98 3.2 TL.

If it is the switch, it's a very easy fix. Get it from a Honda dealer...much cheaper. I paid $30.47 for Honda Part # 36750-S84-003 Switch AS 35350.

If you want help over the phone installing it, PM me.
