I'm trying to figure out what this CL is worth if I resell for an 03. If I can get back everything I put into it I figure I'll do it. Turns like a pig and can definitely feel it's frontheaviness but for the money it's still the best out there...

I did both on autotrader and cars.com right after I bought the CL but those aren't the final negotiated prices, you know? The prices are really all over the chart on both sites too. I'll just have to run an ad and see...

It's sometimes tough to find just the CLS vehicles forsale, but if you go back a couple of pages and just browse (instead of seaching) you can find them pretty easily.

I usually just watch for 6spds forsale in the black market so I know what mine is worth.

 

yeah i would do a search on autotrader, edmunds and kbb are extremly unaccurate and you may be getting an estimate which is far less that what the car is worth. also because of gas prices that may also bog down prices on 6cyl or 8cyl

since i am in the market for a cl type S, i can tell you that with 60k miles you are likely to get 15000 dollars, depending on mods you have done to your car

Thanks to you everyone for all the good info. I think I can sell it for about 15-15.5k in this area... Now I just have to find an 03 black with parchment and wood trim, 6spd and navi. I don't even really need the navi. But hey, I'm just a mooch. I can deal with the fact that I want navi just b/c it looks cool.

In June I sold my 2001 CLS with 86K miles for $13K.

Dealer trade-in and CarMax offered me $9K.
