Whats up 2G Folks
I'm gonna be lurking around here alot...so i thought i'd introduce myself
i'm a dedicated acura owner, i'm on my 2nd 3G TL... the girlfriend was just in an accident...her 01 AV6 coupe was totalled... so we found a mint condition 2G CL-S for a hell of a deal... and she just picked it up tonight.. We're not gonna go crazy modding it.... not yet at least... but a few little things here and there

mattttt... you cant sell the CL... you've got one of the sickest ones in the tri-state...
i found this at an acura dealer, they wanted $13.. i got them down to $11... still a little high, but the condition speaks for itself....
when and if you start parting out your car, let me know... i may want a piece or two...

Nice to see you influenced your girl to stay in the Honda/Acura family. I'm trying to do the same with my girl. She thinks cars are just a way to get around. But she liked my car so much and was suprised at how nice it is to have a little luxury in your ride. So know she wants a TSX, better than her current base model Kia
I saw your car at the RJ meet last summer, it was the sickest 3GTL there. You like wheels huh?

if i would have though RWD was good for her.. and im sorry to post this on acurazine.. but i woulda rather her be in a 99-00 SC300 Coupe... thats my true 2 door luxury car LOVE... that and the acura legend.. but the legend is exactly that... a legend... old, gone... impossible to find...the CL will do for now

98-00 sc330sc400 are freakin rare as hell, i tried going in all auto classified to look for these cars and no luck. No one is selling theirs. They run forver.

Since he's been on the TL side of the site, I'm sure he's well aware of the tranny issues and to the fact that the last half of the 03 CL models aren't covered under the 100K/7yr tranny warranty extension..

uuuuuuummmm... what determines who is, and who isnt covered? VIN ?
I added the VIN of the CL onto my current owners.acura.com.... it showed that this car was affected by the recall, and it had the oil jets installed on 5/2004.... So what does that mean for me? Anybody have a decoding or a link to the TSB regarding this? I know its old news, but i need to know actual facts...
Smithtown gave me a 30 day bumper-bumper... but thats no courtesy... NY state lemon law

Yeah, it's the vin... I'm not sure where the EXACT cutoff is, but it's somewhere in the middle of the model year run...
You can call any dealer with the VIN and they can verify the transmission warranty term for that VIN.
Since acura *thought* they solved the tranny problem, the last of the CL's aren't covered...

My CL is 8866 made in Aug, so the 5203 cutoff had to be a couple months earlier...
